As a product of local public schools and as a spouse to a certificated teacher, Brad has a deep appreciation for our schools. As a former Board President of the Eastmont School District, Brad understands that school systems in our state must be fiscally responsible and demonstrate an appropriate use of public funds. Public education in Washington State must be adaptive and flexible. It must demonstrate continuous improvement for the benefits of all children. Brad believes, as the paramount duty of the state, that public education should be funded first when developing the state budget. During future economic growth, legislators should replenish the state's cash reserves and properly fund educational programs as opposed to raising taxes and creating new governmental programs. Brad also understands and appreciates the role of private schools, home schooling, and online opportunities in meeting the educational needs of children and their families. Brad believes legislators should equip all children and their families with the best opportunities to succeed.
